Numb

Numb -

1. deprived of physical sensation or the ability to move: fingers numb with cold.
2. manifesting or resembling numbness: a numb sensation.
3. incapable of action or of feeling emotion; enervated; prostrate: numb with grief.
4. lacking or deficient in emotion or feeling; indifferent: She was numb to their pleas for mercy.

In this age of sensory and information bombardment, it is hard to know what to pay attention to, what to respond to, and what to care about. Everyday we’re overloaded with images, sounds, people, tasks, responsibilities, media, and pressures from every angle. If we respond to each of the forces, we’d run ourselves crazy, but if we don’t respond we become numb; we lose our capacity to feel.

Take a moment to think about the forces that bombard you every day…

When was the last time you were simply quiet w/God?

When was the last time you went a day without internet, tv, music, movies, etc?
