- I want to be more frequently mistaken for Jesus more in October than I was in September.
- I want to be more in love with God now than I ever have been.
- I want to be more aware of God’s presence and activity than I was last week.
- I want to be more faithful today than I was yesterday.
In reality, i think we all want that. We all want to progress. We all want to grow. We don’t want to backslide. We don’t even want to be stagnant. So, let’s stop acting like it and lets stop treating each other like that is what we want. Sometimes, I expect the teenagers I work with to be the same as they were last week. Sometimes, I expect the adult volunteers I serve alongside to be as connected as they were last year.
Expect growth. Expect change. Expect sanctification. Expect God to work.
