I posted earlier about Pangea day.
Pangea Day is a day where film-makers around the world came together to show films that brought people together and tore down borders (a noble cause in my mind.) Here is their mission statement:
In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it’s easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that — to help people see themselves in others — through the power of film.
Pangea Day took place on May 10, 2008. While I was unable to attend a major screening, they now have the whole program loaded on their website. Take some time to check it out here.
